Low level flying in the Highlands of Scotland.

What you'll learn
How to fly low level safley
Requirements
PC with flight sim and controllers Pref VR headset.
Description
Low level flying is dangerous at is increases the risk of impacting with the ground considerably. In the Law there are low flying limitations restricting low flying in certain places for various reasons. We will be looking at low level flying and the dangers in detail.
General aviation aircraft are unsuitable for this kind of flying as they lack the power to escape a dangerous situation.
The Military operate fast jets at low level for different reasons, mainly radar detection avoidance and avoiding ground fire from SAM missiles.
Low flying military training involves military aircraft flying at low altitude to prepare their aircrew, and other military personnel (e.g. air defence troops), for nap-of-the-earth flying in wartime. The aircraft types can include advanced trainers, ground-attack aircraft, transports and helicopters.
Some countries have sufficiently large military reservations for such training to take place without affecting the civilian population. In smaller countries, such as in Europe, there can be tension between the military and the local population-mainly because of aircraft noise.
Low-level flying involves air safety hazards such as
Collision with the ground, electricity wires etc. as a result of pilot error (e.g. Cavalese, 1998) or failure of aircraft systems - at low level and high speed there is little time to react to any problem.
Mid-air collision with light aircraft (e.g. Norfolk, 1974) or other military aircraft.
Bird strike.
The noise can also disturb animals and hence cause a hazard to horse-riders etc.
United Kingdom
Low flying Tornado near Grasmere, UK
In the UK, low flying means fixed-wing aircraft at less than 2000 feet from the ground or light propeller driven aircraft and helicopters below 500 feet from the ground.
Low flying is permitted across the majority of the UK except for large urban areas, civil airports and some industrial and medical sites. Fixed-wing aircraft can fly down to 250 ft above ground level at a speed of up to 450 kt. Lower height limits apply for helicopters and in certain parts of mid Wales, Northern England and Northern Scotland, designated Tactical Training Areas. See, for example, the Mach Loop in Wales.
For safety and to minimise disturbance to the public, military aircrew training at low level is constrained by rules. A specialist military police unit conducts covert monitoring using Skyguard FC radar and investigates alleged infringements.
On the flight sim in VR there are no such infringements to low flying regulations so go enjoy yourself and play whatever music you like.

Description
Most organizations recognize the importance of having an engaged workforce, but struggle to make meaningful improvements on their employee engagement levels.

We'll get into how to keep that engagement growing through feedback, compensation, and other methods so that your most valuable people remain at your company. We'll also get into how you can measure and evaluate your engagement efforts.
In a recent study by Gallup, it was found that only 15 percent of the world's one billion workers are engaged at work. That's an alarming statistic. lower engagement leads to lower productivity and thus, slower economic growth
It's a downward spiral that originates with our lack of understanding of human capital management, or more specifically, employee engagement. It is clear that very few organizations truly understand or value the meaning of the term.

Description
Welcome to Udemy's no. 1 course for English Idioms!
Do you want to improve your knowledge of English idioms? Would you like to experience a course that is both engaging and fun?
Mr Vocab's Idiom stories is a collection of short stories designed to teach English students over 50 common idioms.
Who should take this course?
This course is designed for ESL students who are B1 level and above.
Why are we using stories to learn?
Anybody can buy a book and try to memorise idioms by staring at a page! However, when you can see the idioms in context, they are much easier to remember.
The stories are short, funny and they include further examples of the idioms at the end. Furthermore, a quiz is included at the end of every single lecture. This gives students the chance to immediately test their knowledge.
What does the course include?
The course is designed to give all students the best possible chance of learning and memorising their idioms.
Introduction (advice on how to succeed with this course)
Idiom Stories
A quiz after every lecture
Additional examples & resources
What advice can you give me to improve my English vocabulary in general?
Mr Vocab believes that learning English should be fun. One of the most common questions we receive from ESL students, is how to learn new vocabulary! The truth is, everybody is different. One piece of advice may be suitable for one student, and unsuccessful for another.
However, we feel that to learn vocabulary, the student MUST try to learn it in context. This means seeing or hearing the vocabulary in real stories, or real conversations.
Who this course is for
This course is for English students at B1 level, who want to expand their vocabulary and sound more native
This course is for English students who are aiming to speak English at B2 level and above

Commercial Helicopter Pilot.
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz
Language: English | Size: 1.85 GB | Duration: 1h 26m
Do not let anything hold you back.
What you'll learn

Learning to fly Helicopters.
Requirements
Learn how to fly aircraft the easy way and the cheap way.
Description
Both helicopters featured here are free downloads from X-Plane 11. If you have a gaming PC and controllers you can learn to fly helicopters for free, compared to thousands and thousands of hard earned. In VR it is awesome.
The average cost of helicopter flying lessons ranges from $150 to $200 per hour. If you want to get your helicopter pilot license, you can expect a price between $10,000 to $15,000, on average.
The FAA requires a minimum of 40 flight hours of instruction, of which at least 20 hours must be with an instructor and 10 hours must be solo. For most student pilots, 50 to 60 hours is more typical. Reaching that level of flight experience will take most people between six months and a year.
Helicopters are difficult to fly. ... Once you begin making small control inputs and learn how the helicopter responds, flying the aircraft will become much easier. One of the most difficult helicopter manoeuvres is hovering and it's often one of the first things a flight student is taught to do.
Can ANYONE learn to fly a helicopter? Most healthy people with correctable eyesight, normal hand-eye coordination, no major health issues, proper motivation, and average or above-average intelligence can be trained to fly a helicopter.
As of May 31, 2019, the average salary of a helicopter pilot is $94,519 a year. On average, helicopter pilots make anywhere from $80,148 to $121,547 a year.
And you may be wondering just why that is. Well, the answer is pretty simple: it's more expensive to learn to fly helicopters because of the cost of helicopter rental and flight instructor fees. ... Comparing that to the airplane rental rates at Inflight Pilot Training, where prices are much more affordable
Helicopters are more dangerous, according to data from the federal government, with a fatal accident rate of 0.72 per 100,000 flight hours in 2018. But general aviation - like recreational flying - is even more dangerous than that, with a fatal accident rate of more than 1 accident per 100,000 flight hours in 2018.
As new types of helicopter jobs are created, the amount of jobs available goes up and so does the shortage. As more people retire from the industry, more jobs become available. And as more industries start using helicopters, more pilots are needed. There simply aren't enough pilots to fill these openings.

How to fly Classic aircraft
Description
The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) AV-8B Harrier II is a single-engine ground-attack aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the Harrier Jump Jet family, capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL). The aircraft is primarily employed on light attack or multi-role missions, ranging from close air support of ground troops to armed reconnaissance. The AV-8B is used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC), the Spanish Navy, and the Italian Navy. A variant of the AV-8B, the British Aerospace Harrier II, was developed for the British military, while another, the TAV-8B, is a dedicated two-seat trainer.
The project that eventually led to the AV-8B's creation started in the early 1970s as a cooperative effort between the United States and United Kingdom, aimed at addressing the operational inadequacies of the first-generation Hawker Siddeley Harrier. Early efforts centered on a larger, more powerful Pegasus engine to dramatically improve the capabilities of the Harrier. Because of budgetary constraints, the UK abandoned the project in 1975. Following the UK's withdrawal, McDonnell Douglas extensively redesigned the earlier AV-8A Harrier to create the AV-8B. While retaining the general layout of its predecessor, the aircraft incorporates a new, larger composite wing with an additional hardpoint on each side, an elevated cockpit, a redesigned fuselage and other structural and aerodynamic refinements. The aircraft is powered by an upgraded version of the Pegasus. The AV-8B made its maiden flight in November 1981 and entered service with the USMC in January 1985. Later upgrades added a night-attack capability and radar, resulting in the AV-8B(NA) and AV-8B Harrier II Plus versions, respectively. An enlarged version named Harrier III was also studied but not pursued. The UK, through British Aerospace, re-joined the improved Harrier project as a partner in 1981, giving it a significant work-share in the project. Following corporate mergers in the 1990s, Boeing and BAE Systems have jointly supported the program. Approximately 340 aircraft were produced in a 22-year production program that ended in 2003.
Typically operated from small aircraft carriers, large amphibious assault ships and simple forward operating bases, AV-8Bs have participated in numerous military and humanitarian operations, proving themselves versatile assets. U.S. Army General Norman Schwarzkopf named the USMC Harrier II as one of several important weapons in the Gulf War. It has also served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan since 2001, the Iraq War since 2003, and was used in Operation Odyssey Dawn in Libya in 2011. Italian and Spanish Harrier IIs have taken part in overseas conflicts in conjunction with NATO coalitions. During its service history, the AV-8B has had a high accident rate, related to the percentage of time spent in critical take-off and landing phases. USMC and Italian Navy AV-8Bs are being replaced by the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II, with the former expected to operate its Harriers until 2025.
