    1. Das richtige Forum

Wähle ein passendes Unterforum für dein Angebot

    Pflichtangaben:

Philips Classics: The Stereo Years [50 CD Box set] (2016)

2016 | Classical
MP3 320 Kbps | 8,73 Gb

"OVERVIEW
Artists, repertoire, recording locations…These were the key factors that made Philips one of the most firmly established classical labels in the 20th century. What ensured the label’s long-lasting fame was its constant search for sound perfection through the development of its own sound equipment.
This 50-CD collection of analogue albums aims to represent the heyday of Philips’ passion for great natural sound – the Stereo Years. There was a firm belief within the label’s team that recording technique was there to serve the music - the Musicians had their own views about how any given piece should be interpreted and how it should sound; the recording team’s job was to grasp that vision and make it a reality. This recording philosophy, combined with great artistry and visionary repertoire policy, created a special chapter in the history of classical music recordings that still inspires artists, sound engineers and collectors alike.
Included are some of Philips’ greatest analogue albums, presented with original artwork, plus a 200-page booklet documenting the history of the label. With personal reminiscences by key members of staff, plus a note by former Philips producer David Cairns.
Artists featured include icons such as Salvatore Accardo, Eduard van Beinum, Claudio Arrau, Dame Janet Baker, Alfred Brendel, Jos? Carreras, Sir Colin Davis, Antal Dor?ti, Clara Haskil & Arthur Grumiaux, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Bernard Haitink, Orchestre de Paris, Seiji Ozawa, Edo de Waart and many more.

Igor Stravinsky - The Complete Columbia Album Collection [56 CDs Box Set] (2015)

Title Of Album: The Complete Columbia Album Collection
Year Of Release: 2015
Label (Catalog#): Sony Classical
Country: EU
Genre: Classical
Quality: FLAC (*tracks+.cue)
Bitrate: Lossless
Time: 56:47:28
Full Size: 11,8 Gb

Igor Stravinsky The Complete Columbia Album Collection is an unprecedented reissue of the complete recordings of his works that Igor Stravinsky made for CBS/American Columbia, bringing together for the very first time on CD all of the mono "Stravinsky conducts Stravinsky" recordings issued in the 1940s and 1950s alongside the more familiar stereo remakes from the 1960s, as well as all the authorized performances that Stravinsky's assistant Robert Craft conducted for the label in the composer's presence, after age and infirmity had restricted his own ability to do so.
As the first composer in history to have conducted or supervised the recording of almost his entire oeuvre (much of it more than once), Stravinsky left the world a unique legacy of which New York Times music critic Anthony Tommasini wrote in 1999: "In terms of archival importance, this discography is the greatest landmark in the history of recorded music from the classical tradition."
A more comprehensive representation of that discography than any previous reissue, Sony Classical's new set of 56 CDs plus DVD itself represents a major landmark in recorded music, containing no fewer than 23 performances never previously released on CD plus 17 performances newly mastered from the original analogue discs and tapes using 24 bit / 96 kHz mastering technology, while the accompanying DVD, Stravinsky in Hollywood, contains scenes from several big studio films of the 1940s brought together for the very first time with the music that Stravinsky wrote for them.
This historic collection comes with a 264 pages hardcover book containing a complete work catalogue, a detailed discography and a wealth of session photos, along with a major new essay by Stravinsky expert Richard Taruskin, in which he examines how the composer s lifelong distrust of performers and live performances drove him to attempt to preserve definitive accounts of all his works through the more objective medium of recordings.
Igor Stravinsky - The Complete Columbia Album Collection also features facsimile LP labels and sleeves, including cover artwork by Jean Cocteau, the polymathic French writer, artist and filmmaker who collaborated with Stravinsky on his opera Oedipus rex, and by Columbia's legendary graphic designer Alex Steinweiss, the man credited with inventing the modern album cover.
Each recording in this exceptional new set of 56 CDs comes from the best original source. Sony Classical's Igor Stravinsky - The Complete Columbia Album Collection thus represents a major new milestone in the discography of the 20th century's greatest composer.

Of the repertoire in this edition the following 40 performances will be newly remastered from the original analogue discs and tapes, of which 23 works will appear on CD for the first time:

Giuseppe Tartini: Complete Violin Concertos [29CD Box Set] (2017)

MP3 CBR 320 kbps | Run Time: 29:32:00 | 4.16 Gb | Artwork 9.60 Mb
Genre: Classical | Label: DYNAMIC

The publishing of this complete edition of Giuseppe Tartini’s Violin Concertos (with the addition of two concertos each for cello and flute) is both a triumph for Dynamic label, which in its 36 years of activity has built a considerable catalogue of violin music and an artistic and historical document of indisputable musicological importance for anyone wishing to have a philologically reliable testimony of this aspect of 18th c. Italian instrumental music, valuable, therefore, for more than the mere dimension of listening. To grasp the importance of this achievement we must first of all note that only a very small number of these concertos can be found in modern, easily available editions, few of which, incidentally, are truly valid from the point of view of textual accuracy and respect of Tartini’s musical precepts. This project was started, almost twenty years ago by Dynamic’s founder Pietro Mosetti Casaretto who, in 1996, recorded and published the first three-CD box-set featuring the Concerti, Op. 1, performed by L’Arte dell’Arco, with Giovanni Guglielmo, Federico Guglielmo and Carlo Lazari as soloists, the same soloists who played in the 17th and last volume of the series published in 2013, evidence of this ensemble’s faithfulness to the project, and of their moral and artistic solidity, indispensable preconditions for any important musical achievement.

500 Years of Organ Music: Brilliant Classics [Limited Edition 50CD Box Set] (2016)

MP3 CBR 320 kbps | Run Time: 55:58:16 | 7,74 Gb | Booklet - 6,97 Mb
Genre: Classical | Label: Brilliant Classics

In this extensive 50-disc set, Brilliant Classics presents 500 years of organ music. The pieces presented here offer a survey of diversity, value, and historical importance. The first portion of the set is devoted to pieces from the early period. Groundbreaking organ composers such as Cavazzoni and De Macque, who developed the capriccio and canzon forms and composed complex counterparts to the periods vocal music, are featured here. The Baroque and Classical eras are represented in this set by the likes of powerhouse composers Mozart, J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Handel, Telemann, and Haydn. Alongside these monumental names, however, are several undiscovered artists, such as Padre Davide da Bergamo, who despite his ambiguity, composed over 2,000 organ pieces. At the pinnacle of the organs development is the Romantic period, when technical advances brought many new features to the instruments. French organ builder Cavaille-Coll made huge advances in the instrument by adding a swell box and a pneumatic assist. One of his beautiful organs is featured on this release. Wrapping up the selections in this set are 20th century works. Concluding the set is Arvo Parts illustrious composition Spiegel im Spiegel, performed on the Grand Organ of Leeds Cathedral. This set features many kinds of organs, each corresponding to the repertoire being performed. The performers featured here are all outstanding in their field and have gained high acclaim for their previous releases with Brilliant Classics.
