That we gave it eyes is not its fault. That we wanted those eyes to watch and think 24/7 so we wouldn't have to, but still put to record. So perhaps we face a demon of our own making, perhaps camera worship brings a different god, conjured from the fat of the lens.. lol ok enough biblical analogy. (Or type that into Dream by WOMBO which is what I use, but WOMBO have not sponsored, endorsed or been told about this at all. I bought my subscription).My First 'CREATE'.I felt the sting the first time I hit 'Generate' or 'Create'.. it was a shock, like one might gape and 'mmmph' as they watch a toe suddenly come off and float away. It was a sci-fi mash up, giger-esque.. The image was interesting and had depth, it reminded me of everything I loved and wanted to do in my own art - That's the moment it really slides backwards up your spine.I'm bested, so is he, we all are, we bested ourselves - I'm a Douglas Adams fan and Irish so I laugh.. I began processing implication after ripple and domino and realized that, if nothing else, we all, especially the artists, need to use it to understand it so we're informed enough to dislike it correctly instead of chain it up out of more fear and more ego.I've put my ego aside for the sake of just exploring its truths and whatever discomfort that brings to me.As I write this I have no more discomfort, I have answers, quirky tasks for you to do and unusual ways to express ourselves. So when I got wind of prompt-to-art (which is being coined synthetic or synthetic media) my mind chewed at it from a programming standpoint, then evolutionary, then culturally and then artistically.PANIC just the right amount for the right reasons. Or be thankful this will all be over soon and it will trouble you no more after this superb course
The Guide and Prompt Schematics are written for after the dust settles, when AI Art is still here and we've scrambled over the last royalty.We have to engage with what we can not stop, AI Culture is still emerging, we must be buoyant if we are to have a perspective from which to direct it's course. Science tolerates ego because it seldom outstrips the validity of ones findings. AI does not process ego, it works on patterns. There is nothing wrong with that, but that AI generated art of Right now, will have a much different, perhaps even sought after, flavor.If you want to action offensively on anything as a working analog artist, then pull all your images from the net, right now. Then grab all your unfinished sketches, poetry, music and napkins together for a pow-wow. You are the variable. Do not post again till we see some others have the 'fight'.Don't be first and don't be last, in the mean time literally watch and learn.The very state of the data planet is different each time you hit 'Generate' so REAL photos, albums, anything not in the system now becomes valuable in a way because it is the source data for all this. I've formulated a product and profit future after the burnout.We will still need to feed this thing 'unique patterns of human conduct evolving' so start a NEW 'Unique' of your own behind closed doors and cameras for a month. Let AI invent a new analog style for you and you alone to know of and perfect.. which will be a product of the future.
