    Da es hier langsam ausartet mit gleichen Interpreten, aber verschiedenen Jahren, gilt ab sofort: Nur noch ein Thread pro Interpret, unabhängig von der Jahreszahl der verschiedenen Alben. Wünschenswert wäre es wenn ihr den Titel ab sofort so benennt: Interpret - Diskographie

More and more music lovers are discovering the unique sound of a vinyl record. Stockfisch thought about whether it is possible just to make the sound creation factors of a vinyl record audible. A pressed record however, has many artifacts arising from the vinyl pressing i.e. distortion, rumble, groove noise, vertical and lateral aberrations, clicks, etc. and other artifacts that are detrimental to a good sound. Stockfisch calls their new production method 'DMM-CD'. With this solution, they can eradicate the aforementioned disadvantages of the pressed record - and yet still maintain the typical vinyl sound. With this new sophisticated process, a new digital recording media (DMM-CD) has emerged retaining the original sound of a Vinyl-LP but without the unwanted side effects. The DMM-CD/SACD gives you the direct sound of the DMM Copper cut - without having to go through the stages of pressing a record. As samplers go, this is one of the best. An excellent cross section of artists from the Stockfish catalog. I am especially taken by the cuts from Alan Taylor ("The Beat Hotel" in particualr) and Chris Jones. Sonics are clean, clear and crisp, with an exceptional sense of timbre. I've purchased a few of the CD's of the artists I've heard on this sampler, and I'm here to tell you, they sound great to - though they can't beat these SACD tracks.

The AYA (Are You Authentic?) is an association whose members are dedicated to the aim of providing an authentic musical experience in cars. “Are you Authentic“ campaigns for “real” and “natural” sound reproduction by e.g. organizing sound competitions, where the participants receive constructive criticism from an expert jury. The new “know-how” which thereby arises is shared by all without any financial considerations.
In order to facilitate a reproducible test of audio systems, a detailed points system has been developed and together with Stockfisch Records and this SACD, with which the sound of hi-fi systems can be critically judged, therefore allows the most objective possible comparison of different systems.
These tracks – some newly mixed, others specially recorded for this SACD – contain certain music signals which show up weaknesses in the sound reproduction chain. These tracks were selected to optimize sound systems if necessary. The tracks sound really good only when there are no mistakes in the system.
