In the dark days of the end of World War Two amidst the ruins of Berlin, one bullet can change history.

Sniper Elite V2 is an award-winning and authentic World War II sniping experience. You are elite US sniper Karl Fairburne. Parachuted into Berlin amidst the Germans' final stand, your mission is to prevent Nazi V2 rocket program technology from falling into the hands of the besieging Red Army. You must aid key scientists keen to defect to the US, and terminate those who would help the Russians.

Sniper Elite V2, der Nachfolger von Rebellions viel beachteter Scharfschützen-Simulation Sniper Elite aus dem Jahr 2005, bietet Spielern erneut eine absolut authentische Sniper-Spielerfahrung, die sie mitten in die Wirren der letzten Tage des Zweiten Weltkriegs führt. Im kriegszerstörten Berlin gerät der Protagonist zwischen die Fronten von deutschen und russischen Truppen, die in der ausgebombten Hauptstadt in einer kriegsentscheidenden Schlacht aufeinandertreffen.

Das Hauptaugenmerk des Spiels liegt dabei auf der Spannung und dem Erfolgsdruck der Jagd, bei welcher der Spieler sein gesamtes Arsenal an Fingerfertigkeit, Geduld und List einsetzen muss, um seine Missionen erfolgreich abzuschließen, während er sich stets mit überlebenswichtigen Entscheidungen konfrontiert sieht.

Die gefeierte "Bullet Cam" aus Sniper Elite kehrt auch im lang erwarteten Sequel zurück: Besonders geschickt ausgeführte Schüsse werden mit einer Zeitlupensequenz belohnt, welche die Kugel in ihrer genauen Flugbahn von Mündung bis Ziel zeigt, wobei die Auswirkungen des Geschosses auf den getroffenen Bereich grafisch genau dargestellt werden.
