Scion is a role-playing game wherein players take on the roles of mortal descendants of gods embroiled in a divine war between the gods and their ancestors, the Titans: powerful, primordial embodiments of concepts such as water, chaos or light which recently escaped after thousands of years of imprisonment in Tartarus.

Children are our future: Before the Visitation of a Scion’s divine parent, the Scion in question is mortal, and as vulnerable to physical, mental and emotional danger as any other child. Yet they are also potential sources of great power, and (to those who might be able to identify them as such) prospective pawns.
Someone has developed a way to detect such Scions-to-be, and is poised to take full advantage of them in a way that could change the War forever. Opposing forces are in place to reap a harvest of power in these children and turn it to their own ends, depriving their divine parents of aid and possibly allowing the Titans to gain the upper hand.

Wolfsheim
A village lost to fate: The citizens of Wolfsheim are literally caught in the middle of a supernatural turf war between the fae monsters known as goblins and the Titan-serving werewolves of one Werner Krieger. For untold years the citizens were forced by the goblins to participate in a yearly ritual, a macabre version of trick or treat called Kindernacht. When Werner Krieger came to the town’s mayor with the promise to end the goblin’s reign of terror in exchange for exclusive mining and industrial rights to the rich ore deposits nearby, it seemed the perfect solution.
What the mayor (or the townsfolk) did not expect was to be dealing with yet another supernatural threat in the form of werewolves. The werewolves partially upheld their promise, only to steal the Kindernacht ritual and twist it into a yearly hunt of the children of Wolfsheim. Now the two inhuman forces fight each other for control of the town and its people, not caring who gets in their way.

Liberty Road
“Liberty Road” is a complete five-scene Scion story set in World War Two. It may be used as a self-contained story or the jumping-off point for a longer cycle set in this era. This story mixes elements of the mythical with the historical, but it is not meant to be an accurate representation of actual events. All key characters, locations and battles are strictly fictional, so playing this adventure won’t help you cram for a history exam. But it will serve as a great introduction to gaming in this time period and to two particular elements of World War mythology: the great prison-camp escape and the Nazi super-soldier.
