No programming experience at all. This course starts from an empty file.
A computer with a web browser. Nothing needs installing to complete the first project.
A free Google account if you want the no-install route, which I recommend for the first few sections.
An API key for a language model. I show you how to get one and how to keep it out of your code.
Willingness to type the code yourself rather than only watch. This is the one requirement that matters.

The highest-rated agent course on this platform opens its requirements with a sentence: this is not a beginner course, solid software engineering concepts are needed. Every good course in this field says something similar. If you have read one of those pages and closed the tab, this course was built for you. You may already know what an agent is. You may have written a specification for one, argued about its boundaries, or watched a developer build something narrower than what you asked for. What you cannot do yet is open an empty file and make one work. That is the only gap this course closes, and it closes it completely.
We start with nothing installed. The first project runs in a browser notebook, because failing to install Python in the first hour is the single most common reason people abandon a coding course, and there is no reason to meet that wall on day one. Then we install properly, with real of the real download pages and the real editor, naming the exact buttons. Then Python itself - but only the parts an agent uses. Values, lists, dictionaries, functions, errors, files and JSON, each taught because it turns up later in agent code rather than for completeness. There is a whole section on reading code, which almost no beginner course teaches and which you will use every single day, because most of the code you meet will be somebody else's.
After that you build. A model call, then a conversation, then your own agent loop written by hand in about forty lines so you know exactly what a framework does for you before you use one. Then tools that reach into real systems, memory that survives a restart, and LangGraph taught against the loop you already understand rather than as a new world. Then testing something that gives a different answer every run, red-teaming your own agent, and the bad days: the key expired, the format changed, the bill is ten times yesterday's. Every line of code in this course was executed before it reached a slide. The output you see is what actually came back, errors included, and every project ships as a runnable file and a notebook you can open and press play.
I teach this from the operations side. Twenty years in warehouse, supply chain and manufacturing automation, and I learned to write this code because the work needed it.
