TNT has greenlighted Public Morals, written by, to be directed and starring Burns. Amblin TV and TNT Original Prods. are producing, with Steven Spielberg and Burns executive producing alongside Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Aaron Lubin. The project is set in New York City, 1967 in the Public Morals Division where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that comes from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the better of them. It centers on cop Terry Muldoon (Burns) who knows the line between the good guys and bad guys is thin, and he is determined to raise his sons to be honest and hardworking as he deals with the dark underbelly of the vice world.

Terry Muldoon issues a warning to his gangster uncle and offers support to a new division recruit.
Season 01, Episode 02 - “Family is Family”
Muldoon takes a look into his uncle’s murder. Romance breaks out between Sean O’Bannon and his best friend’s sister.
Season 01, Episode 03 - “O’Bannon’s Wake”
Mr. O’s wake is held, which sees Muldoon brought together with the west-side Irish Mob. Patton and his son fall out over who should control Mr. O’s bookmaking operation.
Season 01, Episode 04 - “Ladies Night”
Muldoon and Latucci take their wives on a double date, using the perks of the job to have a night on the town. Shea is partnered for the night with O’Bannon, who has some fun at Shea’s expense when arresting a couple of hookers. Kane takes the first step in avenging Mr. O’s death.
