Most engineers can get Claude to answer a question. Far fewer can design an agent that stops for the right reason, hands the model tools it picks correctly, and sends the uncertain cases to a person before they reach a customer. The Claude Certified Architect, Foundations exam, exam code CCAR-F, measures that gap, and this course is built to close it.
Design Production Systems On Claude And Make The Tradeoffs That Keep Them Reliable
The four technologies behind the exam: Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK, the Claude API, and the Model Context Protocol.
Teams use these four to put Claude inside real products and real developer workflows. A solution architect decides which of them a problem needs, then owns the tradeoffs that keep the result dependable once real traffic arrives. Anthropic wrote the CCAR-F exam around those decisions rather than around syntax, so every question sits inside a production scenario drawn from customer work. The credential is aimed at solution architects, senior engineers, and technical consultants, and for people at partner firms it also counts toward the firm's standing in the Claude Partner Network. Organizations are still short of people who can prove this skill instead of describing it.
What You Will Be Able To Do
You will build an agentic loop that reads stop_reason correctly, feeds tool results back, and terminates for a real reason instead of an arbitrary cap. You will design tool definitions the model reads the way you intended, with schemas that do not invite invented values and errors an agent can act on.
You will orchestrate coordinators and subagents, restrict what each worker may touch, run them in parallel, and still know what failed when something breaks. You will configure Claude Code for a team, put an instruction where Claude will actually read it, and package a procedure as a skill that loads only when it is needed.
You will fix the shape your data comes back in with structured output and strict tool use, build a retry worth running, and send large jobs through the Batch API. You will keep long sessions from drifting, place the facts that have to survive, and decide what reaches a human, how far a confidence score can be trusted, and how a finding keeps hold of its source.

The Claude Certification Program is currently a partner program. Anthropic states that certification is available to people at organizations in the Claude Partner Network, and registration requires a company email address on a recognized partner domain. Personal email addresses will not work.
If your organization is a Claude Partner Network member, you register through the Anthropic Partner Academy and schedule your exam with Pearson VUE. This course prepares you for it. If your organization is not a member, you cannot sit the exam yet, and your organization can apply to join.
Either way, the exam guide is public, and this course is built directly against it. The five domains are an honest map of what it takes to build well with Claude, so the course stands on its own as structured skills training even if you never sit the exam. I am not affiliated with Anthropic, and I have no control over who is granted access to the exam. Please check your eligibility first if the certificate itself is your goal.
