This course is designed to accompany and complement my original IELTS Speaking course, Mastering IELTS Speaking: The Express Course. Whereas the original course focused on how to approach the IELTS Speaking test, this course uses the strategies taught in the original course and applies them to answer a huge selection of IELTS Speaking questions.
In this course, you'll hear high-scoring answers to over 100 IELTS Speaking questions and then you'll watch in-depth analysis lectures for each and every one of them.
Over the duration of the course, your vocabulary will expand as you learn a wealth of new words and expressions for many different topics, and your grammatical capabilities will improve as you see how high-level grammar is used in practice.
Your fluency and coherence will also reach new heights as you discover new ideas and new techniques for answering the examiner's questions. Your pronunciation will also improve as you have the chance to listen closely to a native-speaker's delivery, including syllable stress intonation, and learn about some of the most common errors.
You'll also have the chance to test how much you've learnt by taking quizzes at the end of each of the sections.
Each of the three sections in the course corresponds to the individual parts of the Speaking test: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. In each of the sections, you'll have the chance to watch me delivering high-scoring answers to each of the examiner's questions before we explore each of these answers in-depth in a focus lecture.
I encourage you to take part in this course with me by also answering these questions yourself, both before seeing my own and then once again after the focus lectures. If you record your attempts, you should notice an immediate improvement in your speaking ability.
This course is appropriate for anybody aiming to achieve a band 7, band 8 or band 9 in the IELTS Speaking test, but, although challenging, it will also be appropriate for anybody aiming to achieve a band 6 or 6.5. I'd recommend having a minimum English level of B1 before approaching the course.
