Krautrock - music for your brain is a 6 CD's compilation of German bands. It was published by Universal in 2005 and covers more than a decade (1968-1980) of various Krautrock groups.
It shows bands like CAN, BIRTH CONTROL, KRAAN, EMBRYO, GOMORRHA, GROBSCHNITT, GURU GURU and many others.
Although some keygroups are missing (AMON DUUL II, GIFT, TWENTY SIXTY SIX AND THEN), this compilation is unique and gives a great intorduction to Krautrock. Listeners can find here electronic music, hard rock, jazz, psychedelic, simply everything what was Krautrock about and that's why it is worth to have this boxset in progarchive and it serves as great introduction to Krautrock and there's also a lot of groups that are not easy (or almost impossible) to find recently.
From booklet (in german and english) is obvious that this compilation was an effort of Kurt Mitzkatis who is President of the German Rock Association and he also announced vol.2 of this compilation.
