House of the Dying Sun hieß ursprünglich Enemy Starfighter und ist ein Weltraun-Actiontitel, in dem Spieler in das Cockpit eines wendigen Abfangjägers steigen, gleichzeitig aber auch eine kleine Flotte befehligen. In den 14 Missionen der Solo-Kampagne kämpft man in drei Schwierigkeitsgraden und schalten neben neuen Waffen auch neue Begleitschiffe frei. Auffällig ist der Grafikstil, der stark an die Weltraum-Strategieserie Homeworld erinnert. Ursprünglich waren auch Roguelike-Elemente geplant, die aber wieder entfernt wurden.
