    Releases

Turn regulations, risks, and policies into engineered, testable, automated controls using evidence engineering & OSCAL
What you'll learn
⚡ Transform laws, regulations, standards, contracts, policies, and risks into traceable requirements, control objectives, and complete testable control specs
⚡ Design cybersecurity control architectures and build Common Control Frameworks that rationalize requirements without creating false framework equivalence.
⚡ Design repeatable control tests and engineer reliable evidence using provenance, lineage, freshness, ownership, APIs, queries, and systems of record.
⚡ Model GRC information using structured data, relationships, taxonomies, machine-readable formats, and NIST OSCAL concepts.
⚡ Apply Policy as Code, Control as Code, Compliance as Code, integrations, and continuous control monitoring while understanding where automation should stop.
⚡ Connect controls, evidence, findings, remediation, metrics, risk, and the Three Lines Model into defensible continuous-assurance and executive reporting.
Requirements
❗ A basic understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts is helpful but not mandatory.
❗ Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as access control, vulnerability management, logging, backup, cloud security, or security controls will help learners understand the technical examples.
❗ No advanced programming experience is required.
❗ No specific GRC platform, SIEM, cloud provider, or security vendor is required because the course is designed around vendor-neutral concepts and patterns.
Description
This course contains the use of artificial Intelligence.
Traditional GRC asks important questions such as: What requirements apply to us? What risks are we managing? What controls do we have? Are we compliant?
GRC Engineering takes the next step.
It asks how we turn regulations, risks, and policies into controls we can implement, test, evidence, automate, monitor, and continuously improve.
Throughout this course, you will learn the complete GRC Engineering lifecycle
Authoritative Source → Obligation → Requirement → Risk → Control → Implementation → Testing → Evidence → Monitoring → Finding → Remediation → Assurance
You will learn how to decompose regulations and standards into clear requirements, engineer complete control specifications, build Common Control Frameworks, design control tests, create reliable evidence requirements, and connect controls to real cybersecurity technologies such as IAM, PAM, SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint security, cloud security, DLP, backup, and recovery.
The course also moves beyond traditional document-based GRC intoautomation and machine-readable GRC. You will explore APIs, automated evidence collection, structured GRC data, NIST OSCAL, Policy as Code, Control as Code, Compliance as Code, Open Policy Agent, Rego, DevSecOps integrations, and continuous control monitoring.
You will also learn an important distinction: automation does not automatically equal compliance or assurance. A green dashboard, successful API query, or automated test still requires reliable data, appropriate scope, defined evidence, professional judgment, and accountable decision-making.
We will connect GRC Engineering with risk management, findings, exceptions, remediation, KPIs, KRIs, KCIs, the Three Lines Model, internal audit, third-party assurance, executive reporting, and continuous assurance.
AI is also addressed as an emerging GRC Engineering capability. You will see how AI can assist with requirement decomposition, control mapping, evidence analysis, questionnaires, and findings while understanding where human validation and accountability must remain.
Finally, you will apply the concepts through an end-to-end case study involving a fictional Saudi financial and energy organization, where you will design requirements, risks, controls, evidence, tests, integrations, monitoring, findings, remediation, and an executive assurance view.
This is not another course about memorizing GRC terminology.
It is about learning how toengineer GRC as a connected, traceable, testable, evidence-driven, and increasingly automated cybersecurity capability.
Who this course is for
⭐ GRC professionals who want to move beyond spreadsheets, documents, and periodic evidence collection toward engineering-enabled GRC.
⭐ GRC analysts who want to develop stronger technical, automation, data, control-design, and integration capabilities.
⭐ Cybersecurity professionals moving into governance, risk, compliance, control engineering, or assurance roles.
⭐ Security architects responsible for translating requirements and risks into implementable security controls and architectures.
⭐ Cybersecurity engineers who want to understand how technical controls connect to regulatory requirements, risk, evidence, and assurance.
⭐ Professionals working with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, NCA ECC, DORA, SOC reporting, or other cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
⭐ Anyone who wants to understand how modern GRC can evolve from document-centered compliance toward structured, integrated, testable, automated, and evidence-driven assurance.
