Eva Glasbeek - Video Campaign Formula is a video production training program focused on developing campaign concepts, filming with structure, understanding camera settings, and creating polished video content. Created by Eva Glasbeek, the course covers a seven-module curriculum designed to guide learners through the production process, from initial planning and shooting to editing and final export. It also includes visual tutorials on equipment, camera techniques, lighting, and a dedicated export settings bonus.

Course Overview
Video Campaign Formula focuses on the practical workflow behind producing structured video campaigns. Rather than treating filming as a collection of disconnected shots, the program introduces methods for developing a clear concept, planning sequences, choosing appropriate camera techniques, and organizing a shoot around a defined creative direction.
The curriculum follows the stages of video production, beginning with storytelling and pre-production before moving into shot composition, camera configuration, movement, lighting, on-set direction, and post-production. Technical subjects are presented alongside practical demonstrations, helping learners understand how production decisions relate to the final result.
The course is intended for beginners as well as videographers who want to develop a more organized approach to commercial and campaign-style video production. Its stated emphasis is on making production workflows easier to understand and execute, including situations where one person handles several responsibilities on set.
Module 1: Build Your Concept
A successful video campaign begins with a clear idea of what the finished piece should communicate. The first module explores how to develop an initial concept into a more defined creative direction through storytelling and visual planning.
The topics include:
  • Campaign concept development: Turning an early idea into a structured video concept with a clear creative purpose.
  • Storytelling: Organizing visual ideas so that individual shots contribute to the overall message.
  • Moodboarding: Using visual references to establish the intended atmosphere, aesthetic, and direction of a project.
  • Location scouting: Applying the instructor's 20-minute location-check system to assess potential filming locations.
These planning techniques help establish a visual framework before filming begins. A defined concept and moodboard can also make it easier to identify suitable locations, prepare equipment, and maintain consistency throughout a campaign.
Module 2: Shoot with Structure
The second module focuses on creating purposeful footage through repeatable shooting methods. Its central component is the seven-shot formula, which provides a framework for organizing a sequence and developing visual rhythm.
The module also covers the three-shot method, continuity techniques, transitions, and creative tools. These subjects address common production challenges, including deciding which shots to capture, maintaining consistency between clips, and creating footage that can be assembled into a coherent edit.
The main areas include:
  • Using a seven-shot structure to plan a video sequence.
  • Applying the three-shot method when building a series of related shots.
  • Maintaining continuity between different camera angles and moments.
  • Using transitions to connect visual elements.
  • Selecting creative techniques that support the intended direction of a campaign.
A structured shooting process can reduce uncertainty during production and help videographers capture footage with the final edit in mind. Instead of relying entirely on improvisation, learners are introduced to methods for making filming decisions more deliberately and efficiently.
Module 3: Camera Settings, Made Easy
Camera configuration is another major component of the program. This module addresses technical terminology and settings that affect exposure, focus, motion, image characteristics, and color during video production.
The listed topics include:
  • Exposure and focus settings: Understanding the camera controls used to manage image brightness and maintain focus.
  • Picture profiles and LOG: Exploring camera image profiles and log recording options.
  • Rec. 709: Understanding a commonly used color standard for video display and delivery.
  • Frame rate (FPS) and shutter drag: Examining settings and techniques that influence how motion appears in footage.
  • Conversion and 10-bit recording: Covering additional technical considerations related to video capture and image processing.
  • Color specifications and LUTs: Introducing color-related terminology and lookup tables used in video workflows.
The purpose of this module is to make these technical subjects more approachable through explanations and visual demonstrations. Understanding how camera settings interact can help videographers make more informed decisions when preparing footage for different creative requirements.
The curriculum identifies these topics but does not specify every camera model or setting used in the demonstrations. The focus is on explaining the listed concepts within the broader video production workflow.
Module 4: Movement and Gear
Camera movement influences the visual character of a video, while equipment choices affect how footage is captured in different environments. This module examines movement techniques and the practical use of filming accessories.
The course specifically mentions handheld shooting, stabilizers, and straps. It also addresses how to move the camera on set and how to choose equipment according to the situation.
Topics include:
  • Working with handheld camera movement.
  • Using a stabilizer where appropriate.
  • Understanding the role of camera straps and related equipment.
  • Choosing tools based on the requirements of a particular shot.
  • Making practical camera movement decisions during production.
The emphasis is on understanding why a tool is useful rather than simply collecting equipment. For videographers working independently, knowing how to handle a camera and select suitable accessories can contribute to a more manageable shooting process.
Module 5: Run a Shoot with Confidence
Video production involves more than operating a camera. Shoots may also require communication, coordination, and direction, particularly when working with people in front of the lens.
This module focuses on guiding talent and managing on-set dynamics. It also addresses the responsibilities of directing when working alone, where the videographer may need to coordinate the creative process while handling the technical side of filming.
The main areas include:
  • Guiding talent during a shoot.
  • Managing on-set interactions and production dynamics.
  • Maintaining a clear creative direction.
  • Balancing directing responsibilities with camera operation when working solo.
These skills are relevant to campaign production because the quality of a shoot depends partly on how effectively the intended concept is communicated and carried out. Clear direction can help keep filming organized and aligned with the project's visual goals.
Module 6: Lighting 101
Lighting affects the appearance, atmosphere, and visual consistency of video footage. The sixth module introduces practical approaches to working with available daylight and using studio lighting setups.
The listed content includes the instructor's four preferred studio setups, along with guidance on when a DIY approach may be appropriate and when working with a professional is worth considering.
The module covers:
  • Available daylight: Making use of natural light in different filming environments.
  • Studio lighting: Exploring four go-to studio setups.
  • DIY lighting decisions: Considering situations where a simpler setup may meet the production requirements.
  • Professional lighting support: Understanding when a project may call for specialist assistance.
These subjects provide a practical introduction to lighting decisions without assuming that every production requires an elaborate studio. The choice of lighting approach depends on the location, creative direction, available equipment, and requirements of the finished video.
Module 7: Edit Fast and Finish Strong
The final core module covers post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro. Its stated workflow extends from importing and organizing footage to editing, preparing vertical video, exporting, and color grading.
The module includes:
  • Importing and organizing project media.
  • Reviewing footage and identifying relevant material.
  • Backing up files as part of the production workflow.
  • Editing clips into a coherent sequence.
  • Formatting videos vertically for suitable delivery requirements.
  • Exporting the finished project.
  • Applying color grading as part of the finalization process.
A consistent editing workflow can make it easier to manage media, locate useful footage, and prepare deliverables without unnecessary delays. The inclusion of file organization and backup procedures also highlights the importance of handling project assets alongside the creative editing process.
Vertical formatting is particularly relevant when a project requires portrait-oriented video. Exporting and color grading complete the workflow by preparing the edited material for its intended output.
Bonus: Final Export Playbook
The program includes a bonus described as a final export playbook. According to the supplied course description, it brings the relevant export settings together in one place.
Export settings influence how a finished video is rendered for delivery, including technical properties selected for the intended platform or use. Having settings organized in a reference resource can make the final stage of production easier to manage.
The source does not specify the exact export presets, supported platforms, or technical values included in this bonus.
