GICSP Certification Masterclass: ICS/OT Cybersecurity
Published 4/2026
MP4 | Video: h264, 1920x1080 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch Language: English | Duration: 26h 17m | Size: 29.67 GB

Complete GICSP Exam Prep - ICS Architecture, Protocols, Threats, Hardening, Governance, IR & Practice Exams

What you'll learn
1. Master ICS fundamentals, the Purdue Model, and secure architecture principles across Levels 0 through 5 - the foundation of every GICSP exam domain
2. Understand Level 0-3 devices in depth - PLCs, RTUs, SIS, HMIs, DCS, SCADA, historians - including their security constraints and attack surfaces
3. Analyse industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, IEC 61850) and their inherent vulnerabilities to protocol-based attacks
4. Evaluate ICS wireless technologies (WirelessHART, ISA100, private LTE/5G) and defend against jamming, replay, and evil twin attacks
5. Map the ICS threat landscape using the ICS Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK for ICS, informed by real-world case studies including Stuxnet and TRITON
6. Apply endpoint hardening, patch management, and application whitelisting strategies calibrated for ICS environments with legacy systems and uptimeconstraints
7. Design and implement ICS network security architectures including segmentation, industrial DMZ, firewalls, IDS, SIEM, and unidirectional gateways
8. Navigate IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and NERC CIP governance frameworks and build security programmes with defined roles, policies, and change management
9. Execute ICS-specific incident response - detection, triage, containment without shutdown, recovery sequencing, and business continuity planning
10. Prepare strategically for the GICSP exam with index building techniques, CyberLive practical strategies, and two full-length timed practice exams

Requirements
• Basic IT networking knowledge (TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls) - you do not need to be a network engineer, but fundamental concepts are assumed
• General cybersecurity awareness (access control, malware, encryption concepts) - no advanced certifications required as prerequisites
• No prior ICS/OT experience is required - the course builds from fundamentals through advanced topics systematically
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems at a user level is helpful for the hardening sections
• A willingness to invest 30+ hours of focused study - this is a comprehensive certification preparation course, not a quick overview

Description
The GICSP certification is the gold standard for professionals securing industrial control systems. It validates that you can protect the SCADA, DCS, PLC, and SIS environments that run power grids, water treatment plants, oil refineries, and manufacturing facilities. It is also one of the hardest cybersecurity certifications to pass without structured preparation.

Here is the problem. SANS GICSP training costs thousands and requires a week away from work. Self-study means piecing together scattered resources with no clear path through the exam domains. Most candidates underestimate the breadth - the GICSP spans ICS architecture, industrial protocols, field devices, wireless technologies, attack techniques, network defence, endpoint hardening, governance frameworks, risk management, and incident response. Missing any one domain can fail you.

This course is the structured alternative.

Over 30 hours of focused instruction, 13 sections, 95 lessons, and 1,000+ slides, this masterclass covers every GICSP exam domain systematically. You will build from ICS fundamentals and the Purdue Model through Level 0-3 device internals, industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, EtherNet/IP), wireless technologies, and the complete ICS threat landscape - including Stuxnet, TRITON, and the Ukraine power grid attacks analysed through the ICS Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK for ICS.

You will then progress through endpoint hardening, network security architecture, governance and compliance (IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NERC CIP), risk management, incident response with OT-specific containment strategies, and disaster recovery planning. The course concludes with dedicated exam preparation - index building strategies, CyberLive practical question preparation, exam day tactics, a rapid-fire concept review, and two full-length timed practice exams.

What makes this different from reading the GICSP courseware alone? Every lesson connects technical concepts to operational reality. You will understand not just what a PLC scan cycle is, but why it creates security constraints that generic IT controls cannot address. Not just what IEC 62443 requires, but how security levels, zones, and conduits translate into real network architecture decisions. Not just that incident response matters, but how to contain a threat in a live process environment without triggering a plant shutdown.

Built by a practising ICS/OT cybersecurity professional with over 15 years delivering safety-critical control system projects across oil, gas, and energy infrastructure. This is not repackaged IT security content - it is purpose-built for the systems, protocols, and operational realities that the GICSP exam tests.

If you are serious about passing the GICSP and building a career in industrial cybersecurity, this is your complete preparation path. Enrol now and start building toward certification.

Who this course is for
• Cybersecurity professionals preparing to sit the GIAC GICSP certification exam who need structured, comprehensive preparation across all exam domains
• IT security engineers and analysts transitioning into OT/ICS security roles who need to understand industrial systems, protocols, and operational constraints
• OT engineers, control system engineers, and SCADA technicians who want to formalise their ICS security knowledge and validate it with an industry-recognised certification
• Security consultants and auditors who advise industrial clients and need deep, demonstrable expertise across the full ICS cybersecurity domain
• Plant managers, operations leaders, and engineering managers who need to understand ICS security comprehensively to lead security programmes and make informed risk decisions
• Career changers targeting the ICS/OT cybersecurity field - one of the fastest-growing and highest-paying specialisations in cybersecurity

Description
Created by a woman, for women, this work speaks to the quiet exhaustion of survival and the longing to finally live.

It is a soul-centered journey rooted in fitrah, safety, and Divine alignment.

Healing here is not rushed or pathologized. The woman is never treated as broken. Instead, wounds are honored as intelligent adaptations, and healing is approached as rujoo' - a return to what was always whole.

• Begins with the state of the soul, not habits or productivity

• Reveals how the soul adapts to survive and protect itself

• Approaches healing as rujoo' (return), not striving

• Allows change to emerge naturally once the soul feels seen

It Is Rooted in Fitrah, Not Modern Ideologies

• Reconnects you to your Divinely designed nature

• Honors femininity as Allah swt created it, not as culture shaped it

• Separates Islamic truth from cultural, patriarchal, and modern conditioning

• Focuses on alignment, not hardness or over-strengthening

What you were never taught

Many women live with invisible inner fractures because

• No one explained how childhood wounds form and why we abandon parts of our authentic selves to stay loved or safe

• We were never taught emotional literacy or self-understanding

• Femininity was reduced to roles, rules, or stereotypes - not honored as fitrah

• Patriarchal and modern ideologies disconnected women from their bodies, emotions, and inner authority

• Pain was normalized, minimized, or spiritualized instead of understood

• Self-sacrifice was confused with virtue

• Worth became tied to approval, productivity, or endurance

• Healing was framed as "fixing" instead of remembering

This journey moves in stages - from healing, to clarity, to direction - supporting you in shaping a soul-led legacy that feels sincere, spacious, and aligned with Divine wisdom.

The Butterfly Effect is a space of remembrance, consciousness, and becoming -

for the woman who is ready to live with depth, intention, and sacred alignment.

Who this course is for
A beginner path for true soul alignment: for every young Muslim woman who wants to find herself again after feeling lost, empty and misalligned; for every young woman who feels her light has burnt out as well as her body, mind and soul; for every young woman who craves true inner peace, inner acceptance of her life's trajectory and inner allignment with her values, needs and deep feminine desires
A gentle return to Feminine Energy and living
