Description
School Computer Curriculum - Suitable for part of a semester for high school or middle school grades
For teacher curriculum bundle see Termeric Education website.
Discrete Mathematics covers many fundamental theories which are the foundation for many fields in systems, engineering, computer science, business, economics, sciences, general problem solving, critical thinking, and more. Roughly, it is the math that is not part of Algebra/Calculus/Geometry which are typically taught in schools.
Sadly, despite its application in higher education and many careers and fields, Discrete Mathematics is seldom taught in the USA high schools, for the unfortunate reason that it is not covered in the SAT examinations.
Learning about topics in Discrete Mathematics can help junior high and high school students in the following ways
Find inspiration about future technology and other career interests by encountering new topics from a different kind of applied math
Prepare their minds for future technical knowledge they will encounter in college or many careers in systems, engineering, computer science, business, and economics
Improve upon their critical thinking and problem solving skills
In this class series, high school and junior high students get an accessible, hands-on overview to several topics in Discrete Math. We won't go too deep in each subject, but students will get a nice preview of several important subjects in Discrete Math and understand their application to the real world.
Each class includes class-time exercises. The student will be prompted to pause the video, do the exercise, and then resume the video to compare his/her work with the teacher. Each unit includes take-home exercises and solutions.
Topics covered in this course include
Propositional Logic
Operations
Truth Tables
Simplifying Statements
Graphs
Basic Concepts
Shortest Path Algorithm
Sets
Basic Concepts
Venn Diagrams
Operations
First-Order Set Logic
State Machines
Number Theory
Coprimes
Remainder Classes
Counting
Combinations
Permutations
Probability
Proofs
Direct

By Cases
I have used "Discrete Mathematics: An Open Introduction" by Oscar Levin, a great free online textbook, as an inspiration to create this course.
Who this course is for
High School and Junior High students interested in the "other" Math beyond Algebra, Geometry, Calculus
Students who want to preview and learn about the application of Discrete Math in technology, numerous fields and careers

Egghead - React Optimization Cookbook
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Duration: 13 Lessons (58m) | Size: 360.8 MB

Optimizing your application is key to being able to provide your users with a clean and pleasurable experience.
To make your app as performant as possible, you have to send to the browser the least amount of code possible. Also, you want to render the least amount of components on a page at a time as necessary. Then you also want to rerender components in the least amount of time possible.
Tyler has found that working in enterprises and startup cultures that, as you get more developers in a team and as your application grows, a lot of these little practices become ignored or forgotten or missed on a refactor or a pull request. They start to build up over time. Then, at the end of the day, you have a slow-performing app. You go through it, and you have to do all these little updates.
In each one of these lessons, Tyler going to be adding and deleting code to walk you through how to optimize a React app using a dashboard React app as the example.
What you'll learn
Manage the number of network requests sent from your application
Paginate and lazy load lists of data
Optimize rerenders in your React application
Code split your application for faster load times

Description
The Internet of Things (IoT), refers to a network of physical objects or things (connected devices) that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies in order to allow them to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet.
In this course, you will get an overview of the technical aspects of the Internet of things. We'll start things off with an architectural overview, explaining the main components of IoT.
We'll then go over software defined product, which is a digital twin of the physical product, and it's core to understanding and differentiating an IoT product from a smart product or a connected product. Next, learn about hardware defined product: the sensors, the actuators, and the embedded systems used to gather data from the physical world.
You'll also learn about network fabric, which combines the software defined product to the sensors and the external sources of data.
Towards the end of the course we'll go over external systems, exploring how external systems of data can be tapped into to provide more data for an IoT product.
IoT has become one of the most important technologies of the 21st century. Now that we can connect everyday objects-kitchen appliances, cars, thermostats, baby monitors-to the internet via embedded devices, seamless communication is possible between people, processes, and things.

Passion & Interest in the Italian culture
Description
From the Roman Empire to the Renaissance, Italian culture is the result of thousands of years of history and tradition. The arts, family, architecture, music, and food are all integral parts of Italian culture.
Aside from its friendly people, delicious food, and rich history; Italy's economy is one of the world's most diverse, with a strong focus on automobiles and electronics as well as fashion and equipment. The agriculture industry in Italy also plays an important role in the country's economy. Wine, olive oil, wheat, milk, fruit, and vegetables are just a few of the many agricultural products sent by this seventh-largest exporter in the world.
That being said, building and improving your Italian skills breaks down communication barriers and opens up endless possibilities for travel, study and your career.
The idea that **** are better at acquiring languages than adults is false. If an adult devotes the same amount of time to learning Italian as a youngster does, he will be just as proficient in the language. It is only because children devote more time to studying that they appear to learn more quickly than their adult counterparts.
This course follows a unique teaching style: You no longer need to listen to a boring teacher for hours on end. We created cartoons and interactive animations for you, with the main purpose of teaching you Italian in a fun and easy way. Because of this, you'll have a full-immersion classroom experience through the eyes of an outsider.
It is a fundamentals course that's great for both beginners and intermediates alike. If you're on the lookout for a course that starts from the basics and works up to the advanced topics, this is the best course for you.
It only teaches what you need to get started with no fluff. While this helps to keep the course pretty concise, it's about everything you need to get started with the Italian language.
Who this course is for
You aspire to become fluent in Italian in the shortest amount of time possible.
Italy or another Italian-speaking country is where you'll be spending your vacation.
Once upon a time, you attempted to learn Italian, but to no avail. However, you've decided to give it another shot.
You have no prior knowledge of Italian but are eager to pick up the language quickly.
Good knowledge of the English language
