You'll map the spinal cord's long pathways and segmental organization, learn how cranial nerves anchor sensory and motor functions in the head and neck, and develop fluency with the brainstem's life-sustaining roles and clinical signs of damage. The forebrain modules synthesize the hypothalamus (homeostasis), limbic system and amygdala (emotion and salience), basal ganglia (action selection and habit), thalamus (relay and integration), hippocampus (memory and intelligence), and the cerebral cortex (mapping and higher-order processing). These sections draw a throughline from anatomy to function to clinical syndromes-turning names and nuclei into practical, memorable knowledge.You will then dive into the vascular and trauma landscape-oxygen and blood supply, stroke mechanisms and syndromes, dural compartments, traumatic brain injury, and intracranial bleeds.
