This course introduces students to optimization techniques. The course exposes students to basic concepts about the implementation of numerical optimization techniques, assuming that the student does or does not have any kind of idea on these topics. The approach used for teaching this optimization course is based on students having a basic understanding of optimization problem formulations, the important aspects of various optimization algorithms, also about the knowledge of how to use programming to solve optimization problems. The lectures in this course cover Graphical Approaches for Optimization Problems, Notations and Classification of Optimization, Unconstrained Optimization, and Constrained Optimization. Various algorithms such as Golden Section, Gradient Descent, Newton's Methods, Augmented Lagrangian, and Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP). This course will be beneficial to students who are interested in learning about the basics of optimization methods. Operation researchers, engineers, and data science and machine learning students will find this course useful. This course is taught by professor Rahul Rai who joined the Department of Automotive Engineering in 2020 as Dean's Distinguished Professor in the Clemson University International Centre for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Previously, he served on the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering faculty at the University at Buffalo-SUNY (2012-2020) and has experience in industrial research center experiences at United Technology Research Centre (UTRC) and Palo Alto Research Centre called as (PARC).

Who am I?
My name is Joseph - I'm a music producer, pianist, and engineering student. I discovered FL studio in 2018, after I was bored of only playing the piano everyday, making songs for free for other singers, arranging their vocals, and helping them get through the difficulty of creating new songs. I taught myself how to play by ear and compose in in 2016 using random Youtube tutorials. Since then, I taught lots of students in music schools, how to turn their hobby from simply playing a random instrument, to producing music on any computer software.

Welcome to the "Ultimate Pencil Drawing and Shading from Beginner to Advanced Level" course!
This course has been created to teach you all the drawing techniques you need from beginner to advanced level. Never drawn pencil artworks before? That's exactly why the first lesson of the course starts right at the beginning with an introduction to pencil drawing to teach you about pencil pressure, pencil layering and light to dark gradients. The first lesson allows you to become familiar with the tools and materials.
Having the understanding of shadows, mid-tones, light highlights and highlights is extremely important in this medium as by applying different pressure to your pencil, it gives your subject a more 3D and realistic feeling. You will first learn these techniques on still life compositions where you will also learn how objects can be made up of shapes which in turn can help you sketch the outline of your subject.

With the skills you have learnt over the previous lessons, you will bring this knowledge together to draw a still life composition. This will be an advanced style composition lesson where you will learn how to create depth to your drawing when there are multiple objects.
Want to learn how to draw portraits? It is important to learn the human anatomy of the face, facial shapes and all the different facial features before you dive into portraits: eyes, lips, ears, eyebrows and nose. By completing these lessons first, you will gain an understanding of how to draw and shade each part of the face in a realistic way so that when you reach the portrait lessons you will feel more confident in your ability.
You will then move on to learning the pencil measuring technique on a portrait. At this point, you will learn how to measure portraits using your thumb and pencil to achieve accurate proportional drawings. You will learn this technique on both front view and side view portraits so that you don't find it daunting the next time you want to draw a side view profile!
As the course is coming to end, you will be completing two full portraits, one in an old master's style and one celebrity portrait..Keanu Reeves. This is a chance for you to put everything into practice that you have learnt throughout the entire course by finishing with two amazing portraits to hang up at home, give as a gift or add to your portfolio.

The various objectives and chapters that will be covered include

Develop Azure compute solutions

This course breaks this topic into multiple sections. We will first cover how to deploy applications onto Azure virtual machines as the first compute solution method. Then we will look at the PaaS service , i.e. Azure Web Apps. We will see how to publish web applications onto the Azure Web App service. Then we will see how we can connect a web application to an Azure SQL database instance. And finally we will look at the Azure Function App service. We will look at hosting functions. And see how to connect the Functions onto an Azure SQL database.

Develop for Azure storage

Again , we will break this topic into 2 sections. One is for the Azure Storage Account service and the other is for the Azure Cosmos DB service. We will look at each service in detail. And then we will see how to use .NET 6.0 to interact with each service.

Implement Azure security

Again , we will break this topic into 2 sections. In the first section, we will focus on understanding Azure Active Directory and how we assign permissions. Then we will see how to work with Application Objects and then with Managed Identities.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure solutions

Whilst fun, Forex trading is not easy! To be successful today, you must have the ability to test strategies, automate trading and access information.

Whether it's as a hobby or professional, this course will give you the foundation upon which you will be able to

Build a live trading bot

Create a fast, accurate strategy testing system

Retrieve live headlines, sentiments, technicals and more from the web.

Use databases to store and correlate data with market moves

Build a web application showing the latest prices, sentiments and other market data

Learn full stack development, using MongoDB, Python and JavaScript (with React)

We will start by learning to use Python to access the Oanda REST API. Next, we'll download a few thousand candles and develop a simple strategy back test, testing multiple parameters and currency pairs at once. We'll use the results from this back test to learn how to automate the export of results into a spreadsheet format with tables and graphs.

Once the simple strategy has been tested, we'll get hold of a lot more data - six years' worth for multiple time frames. We'll rerun our simple strategy, and then move on to implementing candle pattern detection and indicator calculation. We will also look at using multi-processing to speed up the testing even more.

Now we have some more knowledge, it's time to create a more comprehensive back testing system - with spread and breaking candles down into finer time frames. For testing we will choose two strategies with over a million views on YouTube and assess whether they really give the claimed 90% win rate...

It's now time to move on to the big moment - the live trading bot. We will develop a robust trading bot that trades multiple pairs with comprehensive logging. We will structure the code such that it is easy to swap in and out strategies.

Now it's time to get more advanced and learn how stream prices live - using multi-threading with events and work queues to react to prices and make decisions

We will learn how to use Web Scraping with Python to access live sentiments, technicals, headlines and economic data. Alongside this, we'll create a MongoDB database to store our data.

Next up: React! We will use the famous framework to develop ourselves a web application that can access live prices, our sentiment data and much more.

Finally, we will deploy our trading bot on a cloud service.

The course includes a quick-start appendix for Python and for HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

For this course, we will use the Oanda API service. It is available in most countries worldwide, however please check before purchasing the course.
