Use React Native and your React knowledge and take your web development skills to build native iOS and Android Apps

Mobile applications are one of the best ways to engage with users - no wonder everyone wants to build one! Wouldn't it be great if you could use your web development knowledge, combined with your React knowledge, to build mobile apps with that? That's exactly what React Native allows you to do! No need to learn Java, Android, Swift, ObjectiveC or anything like that - React and JavaScript is all you need to create awesome native mobile apps that work on both Android and iOS. That's probably the reason why Instagram, AirBnB, Skype, and many other global companies are using it to build their mobile apps! You'll learn all about the theory behind React Native, its core concepts, how to build responsive designs that work on different device sizes, how to animate React Native apps, how to navigate around, use maps and the camera. and so much more! And what better way to learn than by building a real app? We'll build the "Awesome Places" app in this course, an app where users can share amazing pictures and the location where they took them. This app will allow you to see things like using maps, the camera, user authentication, connecting to a server and much more in action. By the end of the course, we'll of course also go through all the steps required to get it into an app store.

Style and Approach

With you will gain practical experience in how to create your own React Native apps, publish them to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and dive really deep into the React Native ecosystem.

.MP4, AVC, 1000 kbps, 1280x720 | English, AAC, 128 kbps, 2 Ch | 9h 24m | 1.65 GB
Instructor: Dermot O' Connor

One way to learn animation is an all-in-one course, the kind you can find here in our library. The other path is on-the-job training, and involves picking up an arsenal of tips and tricks as you work. Both methods have their benefits, though most students get an all-in-one style education. This course will give you that "on the job" experience in weekly doses. Every Tuesday, author Dermot O' Connor reveals a tip or trick that animation professionals use to save time and create more compelling characters. Learn to use delays, overshoots, and leading gestures to create looser, more realistic movement; draw different mouth shapes for male and female characters; create different styles of walks such as staggers; and more. Put this course in your playlist and each week a new video will appear in your queue.

Think like a programmer
Uderstand project requirements and choose the right approach to each solution

Requirements

Students should have installed Visual Studio in order to follow along.
Students should be actively learning C#
Students should be familiar with the programming concepts presented in the exercises

Description

C# is an excellent programming language. It's the main language in the .Net family of languages, and as such, it allows you to program some truly amazing solutions. So, congratulations on choosing to learn this amazing language. :)

As it is common among beginner programmers, the enthusiasm to learn often is not enough to make the leap from beginner to intermediate.

The bad news is: code fear is real, and it hinders, or even stops your progress. The good news is: you can learn to eliminate it! And all it takes is a little practice and determination. And that's where this course will help you greatly!

The course goes over variety of C# programming exercises and projects. I show you how to put the theory you learned into practice by showing you how to solve each exercise and walking you through all the Why's and How's.

You and I will go on a journey to program simple solutions using basic programming techniques, all the way to more complex ones, such as multi-dimensional arrays, structure of arrays, and OOP solutions.

In the process, you will learn a lot about C# language. You will learn how to translate the project requirements into a working code. You will learn to use many different programming concepts, such as Conditional Statements, Loops, Arrays, Multi-dimensional arrays, OOP... and pick the right one for your solution. But above all, you will learn to think like a programmer!

This course is all about practice. Therefore, to benefit from this course, you need to be an active student. It doesn't matter if you are self-taught or attend a programming course. What matters is the time and effort you are willing to put into learning and practicing your skills.

There are no lectures in this course. However, I do my best to explain what I am trying to accomplish with each line of code, and touch on common pitfalls, too.

This is a course for beginner C# .net programmers who need to put the concepts and theory they learned into practice and for people who prefer to learn by doing.

If that's you, then let's start coding!

Who is the target audience?

The course is best suited for students taking C# classes, or self-taught students.
Beginners who are currently learning how to program in C# and need a guided practice exercises.
Students who need to put the concepts and theory they learned into practice.
Beginner C# .Net programmers seeking to cement the knowledge by doing short programming projects that are challenging, yet not out of his/her skill set exercises.
Students who take C# classes and struggle with their homework, or students who need a little help or a reference will love this course.

Architecting Big Data Solutions Using Google Dataproc
.MP4, AVC, 240 kbps, 1280x720 | English, AAC, 64 kbps, 2 Ch | 2h 17m | 276 MB
Instructor: Janani Ravi

Dataproc is Google's managed Hadoop offering on the cloud. This course teaches you how the separation of storage and compute allows you to utilize clusters more efficiently purely for processing data and not for storage.

When organizations plan their move to the Google Cloud Platform, Dataproc offers the same features but with additional powerful paradigms such as separation of compute and storage. Dataproc allows you to lift-and-shift your Hadoop processing jobs to the cloud and store your data separately on Cloud Storage buckets, thus effectively eliminating the requirement to keep your clusters always running. In this course, Architecting Big Data Solutions Using Google Dataproc, you'll learn to work with managed Hadoop on the Google Cloud and the best practices to follow for migrating your on-premise jobs to Dataproc clusters. First, you'll delve into creating a Dataproc cluster and configuring firewall rules to enable you to access the cluster manager UI from your local machine. Next, you'll discover how to use the Spark distributed analytics engine on your Dataproc cluster. Then, you'll explore how to write code in order to integrate your Spark jobs with BigQuery and Cloud Storage buckets using connectors. Finally, you'll learn how to use your Dataproc cluster to perform extract, transform, and load operations using Pig as a scripting language and work with Hive tables. By the end of this course, you'll have the necessary knowledge to work with Google's managed Hadoop offering and have a sound idea of how to migrate jobs and data on your on-premise Hadoop cluster to the Google Cloud.
