Oracle Database 12c SQL Fundamentals
MP4 | Video: AVC 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 44KHz 2ch | Duration: 6 Hours | Lec: 58 | 998 MB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

OCA / OCP Preparation for EXAM - IZ0-061

Hi, my name is Charles Smiles and welcome to this Oracle Database 12c SQL Fundamentals course. I will be your instructor. This course will serve as both introductory and intermediary course for performing SQL query and database operations against Oracle 12c database.

This course supplements the Oracle Database: SQL Workshop I course offered by Oracle University. So if you are on a low budget, but need a top notch course on par with most vendor training you have came to the right place. Before we begin, let me provide a bit of background about myself. I am an Oracle certified Database Professional who has been working professionally with Oracle databases since 2004. My experience has mostly centered around consulting but I have worked as an on-staff Oracle DBA/Developer for a number of companies.

In this workshop I will provide you foundational coverage of the Oracle SQL language. This course is comprehensive enough to serve as your primary certification exam prep for the OCA SQL IZ0-061 exam. Many of the important objectives of that exam coincide with the objectives I believe all practitioners should be knowledgeable of when working Oracle SQL. Those objectives include understanding normalization, basic selects, table joins, modifying objects, subqueries, updating rows, and many other topics we will cover. Many of you may be new to Oracle's version of SQL and some of you may have some prior experience . I've prepared the content to ensure easy assimilation for new folks and enough challenge for more sophisticated students. So if you are looking to launch a career as an Oracle Database Administrator or Oracle PL/SQL Developer, this is great starting point. Beyond the multitude of lectures, demos, and quizzes, I have introduced lab exercises which requires an installation of Oracle Database 12c. For that reason, the first lab features a guided installation of Oracle Database 12c and SQL Developer. Unlike some other instructors, I've included instructions for installing on Windows and (Mac OSX). The demonstrations and labs will feature a demonstration schema you will need to install if you intend on following along in the course. If you have already purchased this course, I want to thank you for making that investment in yourself. If you are browsing feel free to take the sample lessons I have provided and let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to serving you as your instructor. Good luck.

10x Typing with Colemak
MP4 | Video: AVC 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 44KHz 2ch | Duration: 38M | Lec: 22 | 70 MB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

Learn touch typing, increase your productivity, and switch to the most comfortable and ergonomic keyboard layout

This course will teach you how to touch type with the Colemak keyboard layout, but not the way you think. Rather than show you what to learn, it will ingrain in you how to learn. You will not get key-by-key instructions - there are plenty of free apps that do that. Instead, you will get the fastest route to learning and improving.

Why touch type? Because you want to think of words and have your hands instantly convert them to text on the screen. Without thinking about the keys, without looking away from the screen - without any of those distractions. Just instinctive, automatic action. Typing at the speed of thought. Just what you need for taking lecture notes, recording meeting minutes, and writing in flow.

OK, so why Colemak? Because it's the most comfortable keyboard layout, period. Among the primary layouts, Colemak has the least finger travel, which means Colemak requires the least effort.

By the end of this course, you'll have learned the position of the keys in the Colemak layout, and you'll know exactly what to do to keep getting faster and more accurate. Expect to hit 30 WPM within days, with increasing speed and accuracy week over week.

First, who is this course not for?

If any of these sound like you, DO NOT buy this course.

You can touch type with QWERTY or another keyboard layout. Learning a different layout is a significant time investment, and the return may not be worth it for you. Your call, of course.
You switch computers or terminals frequently, or will do so in the future. Unless you have control over all your computing devices, you will find yourself switching between layouts, which you may find frustrating.
You use the vim editor. Most of the commands are in different positions, including the movement commands (HJKL) and the colon :)). This will handicap you, unless you relearn the new positions or change your command mappings.
OK, so who is this course for?

If any of these sound like you, buy this course.

You type a lot ==> you want to save time by typing faster.
You make mistakes when you type ==> you want to save time by typing accurately.
You look at the keyboard when you type ==> you want to maintain an ergonomic posture by keeping your eyes on the screen instead of looking down at your keyboard.
You hunt for keys when you type ==> you want to type at the speed of thought by hitting the keys instinctively.
You suffer from cramps, repetitive strain injury, or carpal tunnel syndrome ==> you want to type ergonomically by reducing finger travel awkward key sequences.
What is the course format?

The course consists of three phases:

Preparing to Learn
Learning the Layout
Continuously Improving
In phase one, you'll prepare to switch to the Colemak layout. In phase two, you'll learn the position of the keys. Those are the easy parts.

Phase three is where the magic happens. You'll learn how to practice with purpose, which is the key to your ongoing success. Follow the principles, put in the practice, and you'll quickly improve.

The ability to store, access, and synchronize data across multiple devices-including phones, desktops, and tablets-is crucial to a high-quality user experience.

The ability to store, access, and synchronize data across multiple devices-including phones, desktops, and tablets-is crucial to a high-quality user experience. Xamarin.Forms can help you address this need by making it easier to work with different platforms that have dissimilar concepts of local storage. In this installment of the nine-part Mastering Xamarin.Forms Development series, Scott Peterson tackles data storage in cross-platform apps built with Xamarin.Forms. Here, he discusses three common storage strategies in detail: local storage using dependency services to abstract platform differences, local database storage using SQLite, and offline storage and synchronization.

* Local storage and external storage options
* Dealing with platform differences
* Dependency services
* Working with local storage
* Using SQLite databases
* Working with a local database
* Working with remote databases and offline storage
