Description
Computer networks power everything we do online, from streaming video to running global businesses, yet most people never learn how they actually work. This course takes you from the fundamentals of networking all the way to advanced, real-world skills, giving you a complete understanding of how data travels across the internet and through private networks. You'll start with the building blocks: the OSI and TCP/IP models, network topologies, and how devices communicate. From there, you'll dive into IP addressing and subnetting, learning to design and calculate IP schemes with confidence. You'll explore the core networking devices - routers, switches, and firewalls - and understand exactly how they direct traffic and keep networks secure. The course also covers routing and switching concepts, DNS and DHCP, network protocols like HTTP, FTP, and SMTP, and an introduction to network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption. Throughout, you'll work through practical examples and troubleshooting scenarios so you're not just memorizing theory but building skills you can apply immediately.Whether you're a complete beginner curious about how the internet works, an IT professional looking to sharpen your skills, or a student preparing for certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, this course gives you a strong, practical foundation in computer networking.By the end, you'll be able to confidently explain networking concepts, configure IP addressing and subnets, understand how network devices interact, and troubleshoot common issues - skills that apply directly to real IT roles and certification exams.
This course is designed for complete beginners curious about how the internet and computer networks work, IT students preparing for certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, and aspiring network engineers, system administrators, or IT support professionals looking to build a strong foundation in networking concepts.,Students preparing for academic examinations, interviews, and networking-related certifications.
