    1. Das richtige Forum

Wähle ein passendes Unterforum für dein Angebot

The equally majestic follow-up to one of the most successful box sets in recent memory: After KARAJAN 1960s here comes KARAJAN 1970s. Between 1970 and 1979, Herbert von Karajan recorded the incredible amount of 82 CDs worth of orchestral and choral music for DG This was the period that saw Karajan delve deeply into important repertoire that he never really tackled before or after – from Vivaldi to Mahler, to Berg, Schoenberg and Webern as well as Orff. Not to forget Christmas Concertos, National Anthems, and Prussian Marches.

The box contains the core of Karajan’s repertoire as an orchestral conductor:

– Full symphony cycles of Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, as well as Mendelssohn and Schumann
– The famed Mozart and Beethoven recordings that helped then teen wunderkind Anne-Sophie Mutter to become a worldwide phenomenon
– Bruckner Symphonies 4-9 and the Te Deum, recordings that are still regarded as the pinnacle of Bruckner interpretation
– Individual master recordings of 20th-century classics by Schoenberg, Berg, Webern and Orff (the world-premiere recording of De temporum fine comoedia)
– Mahler Symphonies 4-6 & 9, as well as Das Lied von der Erde, Ruckert-Lieder & Kindertotenlieder featuring Christa Ludwig
– Karajan’s major Bach interpretations – among them the Brandenburg Concertos, the Mass in B minor and the St. Matthew Passion
– Fascinating forays into “rarer” repertoire, such as Baroque Christmas concertos, a collection of European national anthems as well as Prussian and Austrian marches for wind orchestra
– Delightful recordings of “light repertoire” by Borodin, Offenbach, Ponchielli, Weber…
– Major choral works from Mozart’s Requiem, to Brahms’ German Requiem and Verdi’s Messa da Requiem…

It’s all there, 82 CDs of the original LPs, in their original cover art, most of them in their original couplings, arranged in four snug compartments.

Herbert von Karajan - Karajan 1980s – Complete DG Recordings (Box Set 78CDs) (2014)

Artist: Herbert von Karajan & VA
Title Of Album: Karajan 1980s – Complete DG Recordings
Year Of Release: 2014
Label (Catalog#): Decca
Country: Germany
Genre: Classical
Quality: MP3
Bitrate: 320 Kbps
Time: 78 CD
Full Size: 10,01 Gb

"Between 1980 and his death in 1989, Herbert von Karajan recorded the incredible amount of 78 CDs worth of orchestral and choral music for DGG. In the final decade of his creative life, he made quintessential recordings of major works he had not recorded before: Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4 “The Inextinguishable” and Saint-Sa?ns’ “Organ” Symphony. Among the highpoints of Karajan’s late years is the major part of his collaboration with Anne-Sophie Mutter, the “wunderkind” Karajan discovered in the late 1970s and mentored throughout the 1980s. The almost complete recordings of Richard Strauss’ great symphonic poems radically re-thought and played like you never heard them before under the great maestro’s baton. Massive renderings of Mozart’s and Verdi’s Requiems stand next to Karajan’s personal “requiems”: The famous 1987 New Year’s Concert and the “farewell” recordings of Bruckner 7 and Bruckner 8, where you can still experience how Karajan, struggling with his fading health, infused the music with contemplations about life and death. Pure musical magic, as powerful as it was 25 years ago!

Herbert Von Karajan - The Complete EMI Recordings 1946-1984 - Vol.1 [88CD Deluxe Box Set] (2008)

2008 | Classical
MP3 320 Kbps | 13.5 Gb

To celebrate what would have been Herbert von Karajan's 100th birthday on April 5, 2008, EMI has gathered together all of the conductor's recordings for the label in two super-budget boxed sets. Volume 1 weighs in at an imposing 88 discs and focuses on orchestral repertoire (the second volume consists of vocal and operatic works). The first nine discs encompass Karajan's EMI Vienna Philharmonic sessions. Discs 10 through 46 survey Karajan's prolific Philharmonia Orchestra years, while the Berlin Philharmonic dominates discs 47 through 87, together with the handful of recordings Karajan made with the Orchestre de Paris. EMI organizes these subgroups in loose alphabetical order by composer, excepting fillers and sundry collections devoted to showpieces, overtures, light music, and the like. Lastly, Disc 88 offers "Karajan Remembered", a documentary bordering on infomercial, replete with narration, talking heads, and musical examples.

Herbert Von Karajan - The Complete EMI Recordings 1946-1984 - Vol.2 [72CD Deluxe Box Set] (2008)

MP3 320 Kbps | Classical | 10.2 Gb

Volume 2 of EMI's comprehensive Herbert von Karajan centenary edition gathers virtually all of the conductor's operatic and vocal output for the label in one place, taking up 71 CDs (Disc 72 contains complete librettos in the form of PDF files). I use the word "virtually" because the package omits four posthumously issued archival items taped live during the 1957-60 Salzburg Festivals (Beethoven's Missa solemnis, Brahms' German Requiem, Bruckner's Te Deum, and Verdi's Requiem). Otherwise, it's all here.
