Genre: eLearning | Language: English

Learn the skills to start your career in Growth Marketing. 5 hours of basic, intermediate, & advanced marketing lessons

Marketing is changing

Marketers no longer just sit in a room and come up with catch slogans like in Mad Men. They're now required to be more analytical, more technical, and take ownership of a larger part of the traditional customer funnel

What does that mean?

It means that your traditional education and your traditional understanding of marketing are becoming obsolete. Companies are no longer hiring marketers to sit and watch over ad campaigns; they're hiring marketers that can not only plan, design, and run their own campaigns but also influence and understand their products on a much deeper level

In this course we're going to focus on both core marketing fundamentals but also on the more advanced growth marketing strategies that are becoming more and more in demand. We'll cover the basics that any marketer should know and then expand into day to day actionable skills you're going to be required to have. In the second portion of the course we'll focus on how you can set yourself up for success in the marketplace and how to find, vet, and lock down a job in Marketing or Growth.

Who should take this class?

The class is designed for 3 types of students:

1) Anyone with a passion for marketing and specifically wants to learn in demand growth marketing strategies

2) Anyone who wants to transition to marketing and get a job

3) Anyone who wants to apply growth techniques to their own ventures and run their campaigns the same way a professional firm would

Build, test, and deploy Docker applications with Kubernetes while learning production-style development workflows

What you'll learn
Learn Docker from scratch, no previous experience required
Master the Docker CLI to inspect and debug running containers
Build a CI + CD pipeline from scratch with Github, Travis CI, and AWS
Understand the purpose and theory of Kubernetes by building a complex app
Automatically deploy your code when it is pushed to Github!

Requirements
Basic understanding of terminal and command line usage
No previous Docker or Kubernetes experience is required!
A credit card is required to deploy projects to AWS or Google Cloud

Description
If you're tired of spinning your wheels learning how to deploy web applications, this is the course for you.

CI+CD Workflows? You will learn it. AWS Deployment? Included. Kubernetes in Production? Of course!

This is the ultimate course to learn how to deploy any web application you can possibly dream up. Docker and Kubernetes are the newest tech in the Dev Ops world, and have dramatically changed the flow of creating and deploying web apps. Docker is a technology that allows applications to run in constructs called 'containers', while Kubernetes allows for many different 'containers' to run in coordination.

Docker from Scratch!

In this course you'll learn Docker from absolute fundamentals, beginning by learning the answer to basic questions such as "What is a container?" and "How does a container work?". From the very first few lectures, we will do a deep dive on the inner workings of containers, so you get a core understanding of exactly how they are implemented. Once you understand what a container is, you'll learn how to work with them using basic Docker CLI commands. After that, you'll apply your new-found mastery of the Docker CLI to build your own custom images, effectively 'Dockerizing' your own personal applications.

CI + CD Pipelines

Of course, no course on Docker would be complete without a full understanding of common Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment patterns. You will learn how to implement a full CI + CD workflow using Github, Travis CI, and Amazon Web Services, creating a pipeline that automatically deploys your code every time you push your latest changes to Github!

Multi-Container Deployments on AWS!

After building a deployment pipeline, you'll apply it to master both single-container and multi-container deployments on Amazon Web Services. You will construct a multi-container application utilizing Node, React, Redis, and Postgres, and see the amazing power of containers in action (Note: all Javascript coding in this course is optional, the full source code is provided if you don't want to write JS).

Kubernetes!

Finally, you will tackle Kubernetes, a production-grade system for managing complex applications with many different running containers. You will learn the right way to build a Kubernetes Cluster - this course doesn't have any of those annoying "don't do this in production" comments! You will first build a Kubernetes Cluster on your local machine, then eventually move it over to a cloud provider. You'll even learn how to set up HTTPS on Kubernetes, which is harder than it sounds!

Who this course is for?
Software engineers looking to deploy their apps easily and quickly

Architecture Sketching Volume 1

Ii-Zrxz-FRfzx-Xa-E34-QZ0t-KNAq-IAEUJB5r.jpg

Architecture Sketching Volume 1
Genre: eLearning | MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: aac, 48000 Hz
Language: English | Size: 16.8 GB | Duration: 21.5 hours

Requirements
A4 paper, 2B pencil
Description

You need to master architectural sketching as a key tool for generating new concepts on the spot or for visually communicating your ideas.

In this course we will go through all the fundamental architecture sketching and take key steps towards forming your own sketching style.

Some of these sketches are final drawings in themselves, some of them are initial ideas that I used for later large drawings or designs - regardless, they will act as a solid base for mastering architecture sketching.

How you will change:

- Be more comfortable in drawing by freehand and get a sharper freehand line drawing,
Get used to thinking with pen on paper and build an essential knowledge base in architecture sketching
Get a solid graphics style for quick, expressive sketches.
What you will learn:

Learn the fundamentals and sketch a cube and prism house
Sketch pavilion designs with unusual geometry and concepts
Sketch three interpretations of the same volumetry for an office building design
Draw four types of houses (you can use a ruler here to get more clarity)
Sketch perspectives and objects for kitchen design
Sketch perspectives and objects for living
Learn to draw essential material textures
Study and draw fundamental urban design principles
Sketch mesopotamian and paleolithic architecture
Sketch ancient Greek architecture
Sketch early modernist, expressionist and art deco buildings
Look, learning sketching isn't for everyone - if you want to stick to just using software and ignore the little voice in your head that says there is more to design and drawing, then I wish you all the best!

I would argue against that - software is at the end of the day a dead end and it will not help you build your own unique vision in arch drawing and architecture.

Architectural Drawing 101
Description
You have absolutely no clue on your own potential to get fantastic at architectural drawing.

Let me tell you, I know this is true about yourself, because I know it to be true with myself as well!

Every new arch drawing assignment is like your brain resets and you forget everything you needed to know on the topic. You begin to doubt yourself and literally have no clue how to start your work.

There is one antidote to this - and it comes in the form of looking at reference materials! So you looking up examples of drawings which fit your assignment idea and use them to get your started with either graphics or concept.

If you just look at these images (never mind starting to sketch them) your imagination will have a much stronger take on creating everything you want it to create.

You will get sticking points over and over again in your arch drawing journey - there is just no way around this and that is 100% fine!

Yes, sometimes it is good to see a drawing that is 60% there because it shows you the exact sticking points of the author and thus helps you overcome the same sticking point.

What you get inside this course:

crits on how to draw and design basic architecture compositions: self portrait, simple objects, descriptive geometry, real objects
crits on advanced compositions including conceptual composition, abstract art composition and y
crits on basic technical drawing where you learn all about axonometrics, cast shadows, simple axonometrics and basic descriptive geometry exercises
crits of advanced technical drawing where we will tackle complex descriptive geometry as well as graphics techniques and basic logic inconsistencies for complex exercises
crits of basic building where we tackle - basic sticking points with the thinking and designing of simple houses and building with the focus on perspective mistakes
crits of advanced buildings where you see how to go past sticking points in more detailed conceptual thinking
crits of architecture history where we tackle
crits of interior and product design where you get more exposure to possible mistakes that can happen with design graphics and thinking
How you will change

Get over any sticking point you will ever have, as you will see numerous other examples of work and how to get past the specific sticking point of each
Learn from other people's ideas - see a plethora of examples for concept work and graphics, which you can use as references for your own work
Build up your visual culture on the spot by seeing over 600 references for graphics, concept, problem solving and everything else.
I will throw a simple challenge to you: I challenge you to 30 days of watching 15 minutes of these video crits and just sketching 2-3 thumbnails for each drawing that you feel is relevant to you.

Do this for 30 days and you will reinvent the way you think and do architectural drawing.

Hit that 'add to cart' button and I will see you on the inside,

Michael N
