Starpoint Gemini Warlords ist ein Ableger der Weltraum-Simulation Starpoint Gemini 2 (2014), in dem die Strategieelemente viel mehr im Vordergrund stehen. Für die Features ließ sich der Entwickler Little Green Men Games nach eigenen Angaben von Ideen der Community im Early-Access-Programm von Starpoint Gemini 2 inspirieren: Es geht um die Eroberung und Verteidigung ganzer Territorien im Weltraum. Dabei können sich Spieler nicht nur hinter das Steuer von Raumschiffen klemmen sondern auch eigene Raumbasen errichten und ausbauen. Es gilt nach neuen Technologien zu forschen und Flotten auszuheben. Aber es gibt auch Rollenspiel-Elemente wie ein Talentsystem oder mehrere Dialogoptionen bei der Interaktion mit NPCs.

New Freeroam basic start (Rise of Numibia): you literally start from scratch and build your "empire" from nothing;

Rise of Numibia Warmasters bug fixed (although, dialogue is not ready yet);
Research description fixed for Rise of Numibia;
Fixes on fleet ship templates;
Following boarding in Numibia, the ships will be towed away by Numubia faction ships;
Research Check fixes;
Proxima and Proxima shipyard will now summon on the correct location;
Planets and the moon will offer resources;
Wormholes bugfixes and location fixes;
Temporary fixes for faction side-quests in Numibia start. The next update brings a permanent fix;
Freelance hunt mission fixed (the ships will now get destroyed, and consequently offer a reward);
Structure positions fixed. This issue may have led to a game crash;
