Her is a French soul band from Rennes. Formed in 2015, it is composed of Simon Carpentier and Victor Solf. The name of the group, which means "to herself" in English , was chosen by her two members to represent the cause of women and feminism.
After living for some time in the United States , Simon Carpentier met Victor Solf, who had returned from Germany, to the lycée Émile-Zola in Rennes where they created their first tracks at the age of sixteen. They later enter the conservatory to learn classical music which will help them in the composition and harmonies of their titles. For six years, they were members of electro pop group Ropes The Popopopops , founded in 2007, with which they make two EP , followed by an album entitled Swell and several concerts.

Her was founded in April 2015 and released their first EP Her Tape # 1 . Their first singles are Quite Like 5 and Five Minutes 6 . The video clip of the song Quite Like was made by Raphael Frydman and produced by Partizan. It depicts feminine beauty and softness under the guise of a young woman mimicking every word whispered by the duo.
Simon Carpentier died on August 13, 2017 of a cancer.

The work of Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin can be found across the musical landscape. The men have contributed to music by Quincy Jones, Kendrick Lamar, Common, Kanye West, Mos Def and Q-Tip, to name just a few, and now they've teamed up with jazz trumpeter Christian Scott, bassist Derrick Hodge, drummer Justin Tyson and multi-instrumentalist Taylor McFerrin to form R+R=NOW, a band packed with influence from multiple musical genres, including jazz, soul, R&B and hip-hop.
According to Glasper, R+R NOW tells "our story from our point of view. Everybody's sound is so different, but we all come from the same concrete garden. Its a very honest, fluid sound that rings of hip-hop, EDM, jazz, at times – hell – reggae … a bunch of cats that respect each other so much that we always pass the ball."

Legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy will release a new studio album The Blues Is Alive And Well through Silvertone/RCA Records on June 15. Among the special guests recruited to appear on the album by the 81-year-old Guy include The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
Guy’s longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge produced the 14-track The Blues Is Alive And Well. The album follows-up Guy’s 2015 full-length release Born To Play Guitar. Jagger appears on the track “You Did the Crime,” while Richards appears along with Jeff Beck on “Cognac.” Vocalist James Bay contributed to the song “Blue No More.”

The double album collects the thirty-two songs, over two hours of music from Renato Zero's concert, last summer at the Arena di Verona.
Un tour, un film-concerto e ora un doppio CD. Renato Zero torna nei negozi di dischi (sempre che i negozi di dischi esistano ancora) con il doppio CD Zerovskij Solo per amore - Live, contenente le oltre due ore di musica dello show dell'estate scorsa all'Arena di Verona. Esibizione che era già stata cristallizzata sullo schermo, con un film-concerto arrivato nei cinema, ma che ora è ampliata, con la proposizione su disco di tutte e trentadue le canzoni eseguite da Zero durante il live.

Maeba is the 74th studio album of the Italian singer Mina. It was released on March 23, 2018 by the record label PDU and distributed by Sony Music.
Dopo la pubblicazione dell'album Le migliori con Adriano Celentano nel 2016, e la riedizione Tutte le migliori pubblicata nel 2017, Mina ritorna nel 2018 con un album da solista. La copertina del disco, curata da Mauro Balletti e Gianni Ronco e per la grafica da Giuseppe Spada, mostra la cantante in sembianze aliene, immagine utilizzata nella finale del Festival di Sanremo 2018 attraverso un ologramma della cantante. Inoltre la raffigurazione di Mina in versione alieno era già stata mostrata nel disco Piccolino del 2011. Dal 19 marzo, quattro giorni prima della pubblicazione, i brani del disco sono stati trasmessi in anteprima su Radio Capital. Alla realizzazione del disco hanno partecipato compositori che avevano già collaborato con Mina in molti progetti, in particolare per i dischi Facile e Caramella. Tra questi possiamo citare Danilo Rea, Alfredo Golino, Alberto Anelli (autore di L'importante è finire), Federico Spagnoli (autore di Questa donna insopportabile e Non mi ami), Franco Serafini, Paolo Conte, Giorgio Calabrese, Andrea Mingardi, Davide Dileo (autore di La clessidra e Non ti voglio più).

"Jazz and I are on excellent terms," said Bernstein, one of whose earliest jobs was transcribing the instrumental improvisations of such jazz greats as Coleman Hawkins and Earl "Fatha" Hines. Jazz remained a cornerstone of Bernstein's musical consciousness for the remainder of his career, and jazz performers would continue to record Bernstein compositions in the decades to come. Many of those artists are represented on Jazz Loves Bernstein, which opens with Billie Holiday's rousing 1944 rendition of "Big Stuff," from Bernstein's early ballet Fancy Free, and closing with a haunting 1996 reading of "Some Other Time," from Bernstein's Broadway smash On the Town, performed here by Mark Whitfield and Diana Krall. In between is a sterling selection of performances that demonstrate the ongoing appeal of Bernstein's melodic gift.

Because legendary bandleader Tommy Dorsey had so many popular hits during the 1930s and '40s, his later work has been, comparatively, ignored or dismissed.
